Two age groups of FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» took part in children’s tournaments and showed good result.
On November 11-13, the 1st stage of the Cup «Euroshpon-Smyga» was held among the children of 2007 who competed on the grass cover in the format 11х11. This tournament was attended by 12 teams, which were divided into 4 groups. Pupils of Dmitry Mayboroda at the group stage were able to compete with FC «Dynamik-2» Kyiv (win 4:2) and with FC «Olyka» (win 2:0). Coming out of first place, FC «Novator» Khmelnitsky became our contender in the quarter-finals, where the team from Smyga won a confident victory 4:0.
As a result of all matches, the top four consisted of FC «Euroshpon-Smyga», FC «Vortrans» Lutsk, FC «Dynamik-1» Kyiv, CYSS Krasyliv.
The first semi-final of the CYSS Krasyliv – FC «Vortrans» Lutsk was very easy for the team from Volyn, because with the score 1:7, they deserved to fight for the title of winner.
The second semifinal of FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» – FC «Dynamik-1» Kyiv was spectacular and emotional. Our players showed a decent game, though they lost with the score 0:3. Sometimes diligence and play style are far more important than the outcome.
Match for 3rd place (FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» – CYSS Krasyliv) and the final (FC «Vortrans» Lutsk – FC «Dynamik» Kyiv) were intriguing and interesting for spectators. It was in these games that everyone showed their best abilities and it was interesting to watch each team. As a result, two matches ended with a score of 3:2, and the top three looked like this:
1 place – FC «Vortrans» Lutsk;
2 place – FC «Dynamik-1» Kyiv;
3 place – FC «Euroshpon-Smyga».
I would also like to mention the pupils of Vasyl Demianchuk (born in 2010) who, having participated in the Championship of Ternopil Region, have filled their achievements with silver awards. And the organizers recognized as the best player in the team Chornozub Maxim and awarded him with a commemorative statuette.
