The second stage of the All-Ukrainian football festival «I am a patriot» among children in 2008 was held at 16-18 of March.
The beginning of festival impressed by its discovery. Because it was attended by representatives of Aidar, which congratulated all the participants, wished the victories to the strongest and explained who is a patriot on the examples of their young soldiers, defenders of Ukraine.
Unfortunately, the weather has brought an unpleasant surprise to the organizers of the competition. The snowfall and the frosts almost canceled the festival. Many teams refused to participate before the tournament, only the 8 most courageous began the battles. For them, the rule is: «Play football in any weather».
The participants played by a circular system, where everyone had the opportunity to compare their strength with the rivals. In my opinion, this system is the most fair and reminiscent of the championship.
Our countrymen FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» treated each match as the last. Here are the results of these matches:
1. FC «Zirka-2» Kyiv 2:5 FC «Euroshpon-Smyga»;
2. FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» 1:0 CFC Mlyniv;
3. FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» 5:3 CYSS Zdolbuniv;
4. FC «Zirka-1» Kyiv 0:1 FC «Euroshpon-Smyga»;
5. FC «Energetik» Netishyn 0:3 FC «Euroshpon-Smyga»;
6. FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» 2:0 CYSS Dubno.
In the last match of the tournament met two leaders FC «Dynamic» Kyiv – FC «Euroshpon-Smyga». It was this match that determined the winner among themselves.
In the first half, our players took ownership and three times were distinguished. The second half had a completely different character. Capital players more attacked and controlled the ball. They succeeded in defeating 1 goal. But there was not enough time. FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» – champion!
It’s nice for the team CYSS Dubno, which by the results of the competition won 3 place.
I would like to note that the player of our team became the best player of the festival – Dovgal Volodymyr.
From the Gera sports store, team players received prizes for their efforts in the form of gaiters.
