The active work of Smyga residents on the development of children’s football, their successes at the All-Ukrainian and international levels attracted the attention of the Football Federation of Ukraine, which has funded the construction of a mini-football stadium with artificial cover, for pupils of Smyga secondary school of I-III degrees.
The solemn discovery of the new building was celebrated by the whole school.In the beginning there was a children’s tournament among children born in 2008, where won the victory the team of the Rivne region FC «Zorya», the second ones – footballers from Smyga. For this holiday to Smyga have come: the first deputy president of the Football Federation of Ukraine – Vadim Kostyuchenko and Ukrainian football stars, in the past, players of the national team of our country: Vladimir Yezersky, Vasyl Kardash, Sergiy Popov, they showed a master class for young footballers, which caused a sincere capture of children. The Football Federation was worthily prepared for this holiday, to all teams participating in the «Cup of Hope» tournament (timed with the opening of the stadium) got the presents a set of sports uniforms and balls.
The holiday of children’s football in Smyga did not end, because according to the plan, these days the village held the third stage of the tournament «Euroshpon Cup», this time the children born in 2009 competed. The aforementioned guests also visited this opening, who were surprised that in such a village there is a stadium of the European model with an electronic scoreboard, locker rooms. At the same time, the twelve children’s football teams who came to the tournament were pleasantly surprised by them. This has aggravated the desire to fight and to win. As a result of three days the winners have become:
1 place – FC «Footbik» Ostrog
2 place – FC «Volyn» Lutsk
3 place – CYSS Ternopil.
In the end, personal calendars and delicious cakes presented by the general sponsor of PJSC «Euroshpon-Smyga», which will leave a mention of the tournament to each participating player.
About the authority of children and youth FC «Euroshpon-Smyga» is evidenced by the fact that the team from Cherkasy from 2007, when they were in the tournament in Lviv, wanted to fight in a match with our fellow countrymen. The friendly match was held on a neutral ground in our regional center – Dubno. The footballers from Smyga won the team from Central Ukraine with a score 2:0.
Well, the village Smyga has purposefully developed children’s football. On this weekend team with children born in 2010 will be attended by a tournament in Neteshin, and Smyga accepts 16 teams from different parts of Ukraine in the tournament of the memory of volunteer ATO – Sergiy Kochetov, among football players born in 2008.
